South Korea is facing one of the worst disasters after on Wednesday (16th) morning a ferry sunked carrying 476 passengers, mainly high school students. 179 people are rescued, 58 dead and nearly 244 passengers are still missing, considered trapped inside the ferry underwater.

In light of this tragic incident, most of the broadcast stations focus all their efforts covering news and updates on the still ongoing rescue, cancelling all drama and variety shows.

Enterteiment Industry Cancell

In addition to them Music Shows have been cancelled and artists/idol groups pushed back comebacks or other events. Movie industry is also halting most premieres and screenings.

In addition to the mass cancellation of events and shows, celebrities are leaving messages of concern and prayers for the missing passengers.

  1. Its terrible! Besides sadness, now there is a lot of frustration and anger. My friend is telling me how chaotic is in Korea now, parents are angry as the ferry rescue is uncoordinated and ineffective, and they can’t trust the News reports as they announce something and then retract it. They should of done better…
