It seems vampire theme is going to be popular this year. KBS network is going to be the one to launch two vampire themed dramas. ‘Blood’ with Ahn Jae-Hyeon and Ku Hye-Sun starts to air next week and ‘Orange Marmalade’ in May.
The recent headlines are that the production is courting Yeo Gin Go, AOA’s Seolhyun and CN Blue’s Lee Jonghyun as the drama leads. ‘Orange Marmalade’ is going to be drama adaptation of hit Korean webtoon released in 2011, which fans has been wanting to see come to life. The story centres on the romance of a vampire student who hides her real identity but falls in love with a popular boy in high school.
Anticipation is high as this could be Yeon Jin Goo’s comeback from his TV acting hiatus, and also his first adult role character. He is famous for his childhood roles in ‘Hwayi’, ‘I Miss You’, ‘The Moon Embracing The Sun’, etc. His potential co-stars are singers and new-born actors AOA’s Seolhyun and CN Blue’s Lee Jonghyun, who drew viewers interest starring in ‘Gangnam 1970’ and ‘Gentleman’s Dignity’ respectively.
UPDATE: All three actors has been confirmed to star in “Orange Marmalade”.
