More news from K-drama land castings offers interesting pairings.
KBS is preparing another high school drama, the cheerleading sweet romance drama “Cheer Up“. The production is courting as leads quite an awesome pairing, Lee Hyun Woo and Kim Yoo Jung. “Cheer Up” is about a high school cheerleading squad focusing on friendships and romantic interests among the students in the competitive Korean educational environment.
UPDATE: On 1st September news broke that Kim Yoo Jung has passed on the project and KBS is in talks with A Pink‘s Jung Eun Ji for the lead role. Eun Ji is famous with her breakthough role in drama “Reply 1997”. The drama also changed its name from “Cheer Up” to “Rude Go Go”.
Eun Ji has an amazing charismatic presence and energy-charging smile, and I am sure if she accept she will be great in the role of cheerleader, but I have to admit that I was saddened by the news of Kim Yoo Jung passing on the role, as I really wanted to see her and Lee Hyun Woo as a drama couple.
News came out of nowhere that Kim Woo Bin and Suzy are confirmed as the leads of the upcoming bittersweet melodrama “Recklessly Affectionate“. The drama, set to air in 2016, is about a man and woman separated when they were young that meet again when he is a top star with terrible attitude and she is a documentary producer with strong sense of justice. The screenwriter is Lee Kyung Hee, known for her meloromance style and dramas “A Love to Kill“, “Nice Guy” and “Will it Snow for Christmas“.
