Park Bo Gum and Kim Ji Won

Park Bo Gum is confirmed as the leading man in upcoming romantic sageuk “Moonlight Drawn by Clouds”, actress Kim Ji Won is considering the role of the female lead.

“Reply 1988” star Park Bo Gum and actress Kim Ji Won, who is currently starring in the popular drama “Descendants of the Sun”, are young stars with great acting talent and will be the perfect fresh onscreen couple for the upcoming romantic fusion sageuk drama.

“Moonlight Drawn by Clouds” is based on a popular web novel and will revolve around the love story of Crown Prince Hyomyeong and Hong Ra On, daughter of a traitor who secretly enters inside the Royal Court disguised as an eunuch.

Moonlight Drawn by Clouds

Park Bo Gum will play Crown Prince Hyomyeong, a brilliant prince and heir to the throne, who dreams of the revival of the Chosun Era in the 19th century. Kim Ji Won (hopefully) will play Hong Ra On, a young woman who poses as a man to hide her identity, becoming an eunuch in the palace, where she causes a ruckus with her advices as a love expert. The second male role is a famed wandering poet, Kim Sat Gat, but casting is yet to be revealed.

The drama will be written by the team who did ‘Who Are You: School 2015’ and directed by the PD of ‘Discovery of Love’, and ‘Dream High’.

“Moonlight Drawn by Clouds” is being considered for a Monday-Tuesday slot in July or August on KBS.
