Upcoming fantasy sageuk drama “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo” introduces the supporting cast though additional character posters.
As if the drama cast so far isn’t stellar enough, we have also a very impressive supportive female cast as well. The new posters introduce the secondary leads played by Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun, Kim Sung Kyun, Kang Han Na, Jin Ki Joo, and Ji He Ra.
Hopefully the ladies will manage to grab the attention of at least some of the princes, so IU wouldn’t be the only female love interest.
Secondary leads introduction:
Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun plays Woo Hee: “In this moment, I am not Baekje’s daughter, but your companion.”
Woo Hee is the last princess of Baekje, who is both beautiful and dangerous as she is determined to avenge her family and country on the Goryeo imperial family.
Kim Sung Kyun plays Choi Ji Mong: “I belong to no person except the emperor.”
He is a genius astronomer who assists King Taejo to unify the kingdoms, and discovered his dynasty with his skills of interpreting his dreams.
Kang Han Na plays HwangBo Yeon Hwa: “I will be empress. If not me, then who will guard His Majesty?”
She is a Goryeo princess and the younger sister of the 8th Prince Wang Wook (Kang Ha Neul). She is also highly ambitious, and her plans come between the 4th prince (Lee Joon Gi) and 8th Prince (Kang Ha Neul).
Jin Ki Joo plays Chae Ryung: “Once a woman makes up her mind, how can she throw those feelings away?”
She is Hae Soo (IU)’s maid, but despite her poor background she has positive attitude and a bright smile.
Ji He Ra plays Park Soon Duk: “No matter what people say, that person is Goryeo’s greatest man.”
She is the daughter of a war general and herself has embraces the life of a warrior. Her first love was the 10th prince, Wang Eun (Baekhyun).
“Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo” will premiere on August 29.
